MAR. The cap of the Anatolian mystery cult became the cap of liberty. The symbol of the eastern initiate became the symbol of the western republican. The cap had been laundered. Its origins had been obscured, but not by accident. The chain of transmission—from the Anatolian highlands through the Roman mysteries to the Venetian Republic to the Atlantic revolutions—was deliberately buried. Liberty needed a symbol that looked ancient and European. The Phrygian cap was ancient. It was not European. The difference was quietly set aside.

The machinery that enables these erasures is not a conspiracy. It is a habit of mind. History is not largely falsified. The broad strokes are there: the migrations, the wars, the dynasties, the dates. What is falsified is the small thing—the origin of a technology, the ethnicity of a priestess, the direction of a debt. These small things are shaped, one by one, until they fit a pattern that the shapers prefer. The pattern is not a lie in the sense of being invented from nothing. It is a lie in the sense of being inconsistent with first principles. If the Colchians were Egyptians, then Egypt extended to the Black Sea. If Egypt extended to the Black Sea, then the ancient world was far more African than the standard narrative permits. If the Phrygian cap was Anatolian, then the symbol of Western liberty is an eastern borrowing. If the symbol of Western liberty is an eastern borrowing, then the clean line from Greece to Rome to Europe to America is not clean at all. Each individual fact is small enough to be dismissed. Together they form a shape that cannot be dismissed, which is why they are never allowed to be seen together.

This Substack is reader-supported. They are the loose threads. Pull one and the whole tapestry begins to unravel. But the threads are guarded. The guardians are not sinister. They are trained. They have been taught that certain connections are not serious, that certain questions are not productive, that certain patterns are the product of overactive imagination rather than honest observation. The training is not a conspiracy. It is a culture. And the culture, like all cultures, reproduces itself through the people who benefit from it.

The edifice was built by others, but it is now maintained by the hands of those who live inside it. This is the cruelest accomplishment of the colonial project: it constructed a pattern so effective that the descendants of the patterned now reinforce its contours themselves, believing each new variation to be an act of self-definition. The fear and the aggression, the hypervigilance toward threat, the constant scanning of the environment for signs of disrespect or danger—these were rational adaptations to generations of terror. They kept people alive. They still keep people alive. But they also keep people moving within a bounded circle, because the circle was designed to be survived, not transcended. Survival is the frame. The frame cannot be questioned by those who are still surviving.

The edifice rarely permits abstraction outside of entertainment, because entertainment is the one domain where Black creativity has been permitted to become social capital, and social capital is the one currency that can sometimes be converted into mobility. So the immense creative energies of a people who have been systematically excluded from every other institutional pathway to power are funneled into music, into fashion, into the performance of identity. The results are extraordinary. The results dominate global culture. And the results, for all their brilliance, rarely escape the gravitational pull of the needs that Maslow classified as belonging, esteem, and the management of threat.

The culture orbits around sexuality—how to perform it, how to control it, how to weaponize it, how to sell it. It orbits around relationship etiquette—who owes what to whom, who has violated the code, who has been violated. It orbits around gender—the endless negotiation of power between men and women who have been systematically deprived of the material basis for stable partnership. It orbits around violence—when to deploy it, when to withhold it, how to narrate it after the fact. These are not trivial concerns. They are the concerns of people who have been denied the luxury of higher abstraction. But they are also the perimeter of the circle. The circle is drawn by the very conversations that feel most urgent. The urgency is real. The confinement is real. The two things are the same thing.

The ultimate problem, in the terms that matter, is that this system is too efficient. It works too well. It processes pain into product, outrage into engagement, trauma into content, with a smoothness that leaves no excess, no waste, no unused material. Everything is metabolized. Everything is monetized. The algorithm rewards the cycle of arousal and release, provocation and response, and the cycle reinforces the pattern that makes the cycle possible. Nothing spills over. Nothing escapes the loop.

Nature is not like this. Nature is wasteful. The oak produces ten thousand acorns for every one that becomes a tree. The excess is the point. Most of what nature generates goes nowhere, serves nothing, feeds no purpose that human reason can discern. But sometimes, in the waste, a combination arises that necessity could never have predicted—a mutation that proves useful in an environment that does not yet exist, a capacity that lies dormant for generations until the world changes and the useless thing becomes indispensable. The waste is the reservoir of possibility. The efficiency is the enemy of the new.

A system that is too efficient eliminates its own reservoirs. It processes every experience into usable output before the experience can sit long enough to become something else. The Black cultural apparatus, for all its astonishing productivity, has become such a system. It takes the raw material of suffering and converts it, with breathtaking speed, into art that is consumed globally. The art is real. The suffering is real. But the conversion leaves no remainder. Nothing is allowed to sit unused, unprocessed, unmonetized, until it can become something that the market did not ask for and cannot immediately absorb. The waste that might have become a new kind of thought is instead converted into a new kind of content. The content is excellent. The circle remains unbroken.

The path outward, if one exists, would require a deliberate cultivation of inefficiency. A willingness to let some pain go unprocessed into product. A willingness to let some questions go unanswered until the terms of the question change. A willingness to sit in the excess and wait for what the excess might generate. This is not a call for silence. It is a call for the kind of silence that is not content, the kind of abstraction that is not performance, the kind of thought that does not know in advance what it will become. The circle is efficient. The key is in the waste. The waste is where the acorn sits that no one planted and no one needs. One of them might become an oak. The rest will rot. The rotting is not a failure. It is the condition of possibility. The efficiency that prevents the rotting is the real catastrophe. The catastrophe is not that Black culture produces so much. The catastrophe is that it leaves so little fallow ground behind.

This is the insanity loop. The Parasite—the non-producing, positioning, extracting elite—does not need to understand the loop consciously. It needs only to operate the levers that the loop has made available. A video of a policeman striking a suspect is released. The reaction is known in advance. The reaction is monetized. The reaction is mocked. The mockery is monetized. The cycle feeds itself. The people caught in the loop experience genuine pain, genuine outrage, genuine solidarity with the suffering. But the loop does not lead outward. It leads back to itself. The pain is processed into content. The content is processed into profit. The profit accrues to the Parasite. The conditions that produced the video remain unchanged.

The deeper tragedy is that the loop prevents its victims from distinguishing between the ruling caste and the other workers. The Parasite has arranged the machinery so that the face of authority that the worker encounters directly is always the face of another worker—the policeman, the landlord, the social worker, the clerk. These people are not the Parasite. They are workers, just as exploited, just as trapped, just as replaceable. But they wear the uniform of the system, and the system has trained its subjects to attack the uniform rather than the hand that buttons it. The white worker and the black worker are caught in the same machine. But the machine has convinced each that the other is the enemy. The Parasite watches from above and collects the rent.

The inconsequentiality is structural. The overall dataset upon which society has been trained was built specifically to ensnare minds into a daydream-like state. The simulacrum is so complete, so immersive, so totalizing, that most people cannot distinguish the map from the territory. The news is not news. It is a curated narrative designed to provoke predictable responses. The entertainment is not entertainment. It is a rhythm of arousal and release that keeps the Worker’s emotional machinery spinning in place. The education is not education. It is a training in the boundaries of permissible thought. And while the mind dreams, everything of value—the labor, the land, the attention, the data, the future—is extracted. The sheep are sheared. The wool is sold. The sheep are thanked for their contribution to the economy.

Subscribe now

Sovereignty of Imagination

The imagination is the last sovereign territory of the human being. Before a person can act, they must first imagine acting. Before they can resist, they must imagine resistance. Before they can build a different life, they must imagine that life into some kind of shape, however faint. This is why materialistic cultures—cultures organized around the production, acquisition, and display of objects—devote so much energy to capturing the imagination.

The capture is not a side effect of the economic system. It is the system’s primary function. A mind that has been trained to imagine its own fulfillment in terms of objects it does not possess is a mind that has been placed in permanent debt to the world. But the training is never perfect. The environment that has been constructed to channel desire and dictate behavior contains gaps. It contains inconsistencies. The map does not perfectly match the territory, and the discrepancy between the two is the space where freedom can be found.

Breaking the lipid envelope is a matter of disrupting the interface. The envelope is not strong. It is a thin bilayer of fat, delicate as soap film, held together by nothing more than the hydrophobic attraction of lipids in water. It can be ruptured by alcohol, by detergent, by a sufficiently abrupt change in temperature or pH. Soap destroys it because soap is itself a lipid disruptor—it inserts its molecules into the membrane and pries the bilayer apart. Alcohol dissolves it by stripping away the water molecules that the lipids need to maintain their orientation. The envelope pops. The viral contents spill out. The particle is no longer infectious. It is debris.

The elegance of this destruction is that it does not require identifying the virus. The envelope is the virus’s disguise, but it is also its vulnerability. The virus cannot shed the envelope without becoming naked genetic material, unrecognizable to the host cell and easily degraded by enzymes. The envelope is both the shield and the target. A soap molecule does not need to know what virus it is destroying. It destroys the envelope because the envelope is lipid, and soap destroys lipid membranes. The mechanism is universal. The specificity is not required.

To break the envelope of a cultural parasite—the Golden Fleece logic, the stolen blessing, the interface that intercepts value and calls it discovery—requires the same approach. The envelope is the story that the parasite tells about itself. It is the myth of the Argonauts as explorers rather than thieves. It is the Phrygian cap as the natural symbol of Western liberty rather than an eastern borrowing. It is the category of race as a biological reality rather than an engineered construct. The envelope is the membrane of plausible deniability across which the extraction occurs. It is not strong. It is held together by repetition, by institutional inertia, by the quiet daily pressure of a culture that has agreed not to look too closely.

Soap, in this metaphor, is attention. Attention to the small facts. Attention to the loose threads.

Every system of control has its seams. A crime network exploits the gaps between credentialing procedures. A trader exploits the discrepancies between markets. These are not failures of the systems they exploit. They are features of any system complex enough to function in the real world. No framework can account for every variable. No script can predict every choice. The materialistic culture that captures the imagination is no different. It offers a set of expected responses to a set of curated stimuli. But the stimuli are not perfectly distributed. The responses are not perfectly conditioned. In the space between what the system expects and what actually happens, there is room to move. A single person making a choice that was not anticipated—not all the time, not in every circumstance, just occasionally, just in the moment when the script says to buy and the person decides not to, when the script says to rage and the person decides to laugh, when the script says to despair and the person decides to build—creates a crack in the machinery. One crack is nothing. A thousand cracks, a million cracks, spread across a population over time, become structural. The framework loses its predictive power. The Parasite can no longer count on the Pavlovian response. The levers begin to slip.

This Substack is reader-supported. They were born into it. They walked into a world where you could quit a job in the morning and start another one next door by the afternoon. Where a man with a high school diploma could raise eight children on a single income, own two houses and two cars, and retire with dignity.

Consider what these young people are inheriting. They inherit a story about the American Dream that was never really true for everyone, but which was true enough for enough white families to become the foundational myth of an entire generation. They inherit a memory of a time when you could buy a house for twice your annual income, when a “good job” was something you could expect to find by your mid-twenties rather than a prize to be struggled for through your thirties. The millenials often inherited a grandfather— that was able to raise half a dozen children on a single income, who owned two houses and two cars, who supported a stay-at-home wife and sent children to school and retired with dignity. This was not exceptional. This was normal. And it was normal because the economy of that era was structured to make it possible, not because that grandfather was exceptionally virtuous or hardworking or intelligent.

One of the most profound distortions in contemporary economic discourse is the claim that standards of living have increased across the board. The data says one thing; the lived reality says another. Consider the simple fact that a substantial percentage of people who own houses in American cities inherited them from their grandparents. This is not a footnote; it is the central mechanism by which housing wealth has been transmitted across generations. The data that shows rising homeownership rates obscures the reality that this ownership is increasingly inherited rather than earned.

There is a telling pattern in the lives of the boomers who retired from factory jobs, particularly in industries like motor vehicles. A janitor in the 1970’s could retire in the late 90’s with $100,000 annual pension—true story— not through exceptional skill or education, but simply by showing up and staying in a job that the economy of that era valued. The guiderails were in place: you followed them, and you prospered. You did not need to be highly intelligent. You did not need to be driven. You did not need to navigate a labyrinth of credentialing and networking. You followed the path, and the path led to a house, a car, a pension.

They also inherit a racial legacy far more complex than the simple narratives of guilt or innocence that dominate contemporary discourse. The white savior complex that animated so much of the liberal activism of the 1960s and 1970’s was, at its core, a narrative that positioned white people as the benevolent saviors of non-white populations, a narrative that came to function as a kind of permission structure for continued dominance. You could be on the right side of history while remaining comfortably on top.

There is a subtle and rarely discussed transition that occurs when the group you have been told you are saving begins to compete with you on equal terms. The cognitive dissonance is profound. You have been raised to see yourself as a benevolent protector, as someone who extended a hand to uplift the less fortunate. Now you are told that you must compete with those you “saved” for jobs, for educational opportunities— or, even more disruptive, they received a preference. The relationship inevitably shifts from paternalism to resentment. The liberal worldview of their parents’ generation—a worldview that allowed them to feel good about themselves while maintaining systemic advantages—has become untenable. You cannot simultaneously claim to be a savior and a victim, and yet the material conditions of young white lives increasingly make victimhood feel like the more accurate description.

This is where the boomer legacy becomes truly toxic. The boomer generation inherited a world where whiteness was an unambiguous asset, where the economic and social structures of the country were designed to advantage white families in ways that were often invisible to those benefiting from them. Now, as the descendants of these policies find themselves struggling in a world that no longer guarantees their advantage, the obvious answer is a return to form. It is a survival mechanicsm—when your position becomes untenable, you redefine yourself.

There is a final twist in this story that is both tragic and ironic. The mechanisms that were once used to control minority populations—the fragmentation of community through identity politics, the manipulation of media narratives, currated scientific data meant to obscure deeper analysis, the flattening of complex discourse, the constant generation of outrage to distract from structural issues—are now being deployed against the white working class. The elites who once used feminism, race-conscious policy, and media manipulation to fragment marginalized populations are now using similar techniques on whites.

Phrases like “they can’t do that” have been the stock-in-trade of the boomer generation that experienced the world as a place where their demands were met.

Rorschach Test

Everything that preceded this is bullshit—however accurate it may be. It is a pretext, and the pretext will always change because, marketing.

If you understand that all social constructions are a form of currency, and that social capital operates on boom and bust cycles—demonstrably artificial ones—then you will understand that racial constructs are a fiat currency. They are printed by elites, assigned value by collective belief, and inflated or devalued on demand to ensure that the real asset—the printing press of social currency—never loses power.

The Rorschach test you just read was no accident. The first part of this article handed you a story—a story of inheritance, resentment, race, and betrayal. Maybe you felt something reading it. Maybe you felt resentment. Maybe you felt seen. Maybe you felt attacked. That feeling itself was the transaction. The transaction was made in Social Capital™.

Liquidity is King

Liquidity is the principle. The elite’s true asset is not any particular currency; it is the ability to keep all currencies convertible, tradable, and subject to their market-making spread.

The neoliberal subject is no longer just an entrepreneur of the self in terms of human capital—skills, health, education. They are now an investor in ontological capital: the very categories of being. Your race, your generation, your grievance—these are positions you hold long or short.

If First Wave feminism threatens to harden into a genuine legible ideology, you don’t suppress it. You pump liquidity into Second Wave feminism, into Girl Boss empowerment merchandise, into a thousand micro-identities that trade against one another and never consolidate. The worst thing that can happen to the system is not a bad asset—it is a frozen asset. A holding that refuses to trade. A belief that crystallizes into unshakeable conviction rather than remaining a position you’re willing to rebalance.

Today’s economy is illiquid for labor but hyper-liquid for identity. The friction has been relocated. Your grandfather’s generation moved through economic roles fluidly because identity roles were frozen solid. Now identity is the thing that must remain in constant churn, because the economic floor underneath has hardened into concrete.

Yes But Nuance, Yes But Data, Yes But Don’t Go Full Nihilist

The algorithm knows about you. It has learned your patterns, your preferences, the particular shape of your desire to understand. It feeds you what you want: the evidence that confirms your suspicion, the data that proves your point, the community that validates your awakening. You are not being recruited into anything. You are being socialized. Rather, you are being socialized into a set of assumptions about how the world works—assumptions that are constantly reinforced by architectures designed to maximize engagement through outrage and tribal identification.

You are no longer a unified self. You are a distributed network of competing sub-selves, each managing a portfolio of identities, traumas, aspirations, and resentments. Internal family systems meets high-frequency trading. You wake up as one person, perform another, go to bed as a third. The arbitrage between them—the cognitive dissonance, the churn—is itself the product being extracted.

Elites do not simply own the means of material production. They own the means of meaning production. They print “whiteness,” “anti-racism,” “feminism,” “police shooting of unarmed black-man” as needed, provoking a boom/bust cycle of social capital that ensures horizontal battles between identity groups prevent any vertical challenge to the press itself. A prepackaged CDO.

This article does not offer a fixed conclusion. A fixed conclusion would be illiquid. It offers velocity. It keeps the thought moving. “Everything that preceded this is bullshit” is not a retreat—it is a churn. It prevents the reader from settling into the false safety of any single currency. The system needs you to trade. To constantly shift your belief-portfolio, chasing yield, never holding any position outside of the exchange.

The moment you freeze—the moment you stop trading stories and start building something tangible, together, outside the market—you become a threat. But even that insight, if held too tightly, becomes just another frozen asset they can thaw and arbitrage.

Newest High-Yield Token

The horror—and the strange, cold freedom—is this: if liquidity is king, then the only rebellion is to stop being a liquid asset. To unidentify. To sediment. To refuse to accept tokens. To become so solid, so particular, so committed to a robust internal philosophy of meaning that you cannot be pumped, traded, or fractioned further. But here you will find the grand reveal, very little is bought and sold outside of Social Capital. The Social Capital™ is the transaction, and the actual activity, economic or otherwise is a complex, multi-layered pretense. When your promoted at a job, your given Social Capital™. When you take a large business loan at the bank, Social Capital™. Nearly every transaction is tied to a hierarchy and your implicit obedience to it.

Here is the bitterest pill: knowing this changes nothing on its own. The insight that all identity is a rigged currency is itself just a new currency. The only move available is to become aware of the game without pretending you can stop playing it, to hold every story with the suspicion it deserves—to think outside the box, especially if it is wrapped, ribboned, bowed, and meticulously ornate.

The commodification of your chosen attributes await.

Thanks for reading! Racebook The Social Network?

The question is not whether race is real, but what kind of real it is. A racial category is real in the same way a dollar bill is real—it has no existence outside of human agreement, but within that agreement it organizes immense amounts of behavior, distributes vast quantities of resources, and shapes the contours of life and death. The social construction of race does not make it less powerful; it makes it more powerful, because it can be changed only by changing the minds of millions of people simultaneously, which is nearly impossible.

What is often mistaken for racial reality—patterns of behavior, differences in outcomes, statistical disparities—is in fact the accumulated sediment of generations of constructed conditions. Yet there is a subtlety here that most discussions miss. The argument that race is a social construct does not imply that racial categories are arbitrary or that racial identity is a choice. A social construct is not a figment of the imagination; it is a collective agreement that shapes reality. The agreement that certain physical characteristics mark certain people as inferior. The deeper error is to believe that because race is constructed, it can be easily deconstructed. The history of a social construct is sedimented into institutions, into habits, into the very architecture of daily life. To say that race is not biologically real is not to say that it is not socially powerful. It is to say that its power comes from agreement rather than from nature, and that agreements can be unmade. The challenge is that unmasking a construct requires more than pointing out its constructedness; it requires building new structures that make the old ones obsolete.

Thanks for reading! The Hierarchy of Thinking Through Dialectical Explanations

But there is a further subtlety that is almost never discussed, because it is too uncomfortable to be processed. The explanations that people accept for their own dispossession are distributed along a hierarchy of sophistication, and that hierarchy itself is a mechanism of control.

The simplest explanation—the one that requires the least intellectual effort—is the one that blames the visible other. For those who see the behaviors of black communities and want to reinforce the notion that race is not a social construct, the explanation is straightforward: they are violent, they are inferior, it is not a complex issue, they are simply less intelligent. This is the argument of those who have decided that the world is simple and that they are at the top of it. It is the explanation that offers certainty, clarity, and moral superiority without requiring any of the difficult work of self-examination.

The “systemic racism” narrative is, in this framing, a small-brain explanation. It’s the thing you accept if you don’t think very hard about it. It locates the problem in a diffuse, impersonal structure and offers a kind of moral clarity that is actually a form of intellectual laziness. It’s an excuse—not because racism isn’t real, but because the explanation is too simple, too comfortable, too easy. It works on emotion, on guilt, on a kind of moral simplicity. The person who accepts this narrative is being manipulated, but the manipulation is crude. It requires no real intellectual effort, no sustained engagement with complexity, no willingness to sit with uncomfortable contradictions.

The slightly more nuanced explanation, the one that attracts those who pride themselves on their intelligence, is the argument that their own predicament is engineered by a hidden force—the Jews, the globalists, the elites. This is the explanation that allows the white person to maintain their sense of intellectual superiority while still feeling victimized. It is more sophisticated than simple racism because it identifies a mechanism, a conspiracy, a hidden hand that has manipulated events. It makes you feel like you have seen through the veil, that you are one of the few who understands how the world really works.

This is the explanation that appeals to the online autist, the person who has spent countless hours reading, watching, thinking, piecing together the puzzle. The satisfaction it provides is intellectual as much as it is emotional. The “propaganda/psyop” narrative is more intelligent and more nuanced. It recognizes that there are agents, that things are engineered, that the world is not as it appears. It is the explanation that appeals to people who think of themselves as awake, as having seen through the veil. It offers a kind of intellectual satisfaction that the simpler narrative cannot provide. It makes you feel smart. The person who accepts this narrative is being manipulated too, but the manipulation is more elegant. It works on the desire to be special, to be awake, to be one of the few who see clearly. The second manipulation is more dangerous because it is harder to detect. The person who is the subject of this manipulation believes they are immune to manipulation. That belief is the manipulation.

III. The Synthesis That Cannot Be Accepted

Yet, here is the true synthesis that makes no sense, for the one who thinks the dialectic is true: “My genetically inherited high IQ encourages me to be extremely susceptible to environmentally elicited acts of conformity.”

This is the insight that cannot be accepted by the people it describes, because accepting it would require them to recognize that their intelligence—the very thing they rely on to distinguish themselves from the masses—is the mechanism by which they are being controlled. The smarter you are, the more sophisticated the manipulation you require, and the more deeply you become invested in the narrative that makes you feel like you’ve escaped manipulation.

Think about the structure of this. The person who accepts the simple “systemic racism” narrative is being manipulated, but the manipulation is crude. It works on emotion, on guilt, on a kind of moral simplicity. The person who accepts the “psyop” narrative is being manipulated too, but the manipulation is more elegant. It works on the desire to be special, to be awake, to be one of the few who see clearly. The second manipulation is more dangerous because it is harder to detect. The person who is the subject of this manipulation believes they are immune to manipulation. That belief is the manipulation.

The point is not that one explanation is true and the other is false. The point is that the very structure of explanation—the hierarchy of sophistication, the distribution of narratives along lines of intelligence—is itself a mechanism of control. The elites who benefit from division don’t care which explanation you accept, as long as you are divided. The black person who blames systemic racism and the white person who blames the blacks as agents of the Jews are both doing exactly what the system requires them to do.

The only true explanation is that the entire framework of racial consciousness is a construct designed to keep you in your place, that your ‘intelligence’— you’re very ‘gifted’— is being used against you, that the very act of trying to understand the world has been engineered to lead you into dead ends—is the explanation that is almost impossible to accept because it requires you to distrust the very capacity that makes you feel like you understand.

This is why the synthesis makes no sense. It cannot be accepted by the people it describes, because accepting it would be an act of self-destruction. It would require you to abandon the very thing that makes you feel like you are superior to the masses: your intelligence, your capacity for pattern recognition, your ability to see through the veil. The person who recognizes that their high IQ makes them susceptible to sophisticated manipulation has no ground left to stand on. They have no special insight, no superior capacity, no immunity from the forces that shape everyone else. They are just another person being manipulated, and the fact that they can see that they are being manipulated does not free them from it. It just makes them merde.

IV. Genetically Superior IQ At Work

The 1980s punk who was obsessed with screaming “nigger” thought he was being transgressive, authentic, anti-establishment. He was performing a kind of rebellion that was actually just another form of conformity to the script that was available to him. The Reagan-era conservative who was obsessed with women on welfare thought he was standing for personal responsibility, for the Protestant work ethic. He was performing a kind of moral outrage that served to justify the dismantling of the social safety net. The Fox News viewer who consumes Bill O’Reilly’s race-baiting thinks he is being informed, that he is seeing the world as it really is. He is performing a kind of political engagement that serves to keep him in a state of perpetual outrage. The autist poster on ‘X’ has revived this tradition: Chubby Cheeks Chud thinks provacation is free speech. A word is just a word, then a flag is just a flag? Words and flags have context and conviently decontextualizing as it serves your purpose is big brained.

None of these people think they are being manipulated. That’s the point. The manipulation works precisely because it makes you feel like you’re the one who sees clearly. The intelligence that you believe sets you free is actually the chains that bind you to the particular form of manipulation that is calibrated to your LEARNED capacity for pattern recognition. Learned. If it wasn’t learned—I wouldn’t have to point this out to you. HA!

The pattern is always the same. A new generation is radicalized into a narrative of grievance that serves the interests of those who benefit from division. The specific content of the grievance changes, but the structure is invariant: a population that has been dispossessed by structural forces is given an explanation that blames an enemy, and that enemy is always the one who can be safely hated— by that paticular group. The cycle is self-perpetuating because it works. And so the cycle continues, generation after generation, with each new cohort finding its own version of the same trap.

The actual truth—that the entire framework all identities are constructed to keep you in your place—is too disorienting to be accepted.

V. Can I See Some ID?

The race-baiters, the conspiracy theorists, the identity entrepreneurs—is nothing more than another racial construct generated by the elites to generationally radicalize a segment of the population as an enforcement unit of its will. By ensuring there is a hypervigilant and possibly violent force that will enforce social order for extra pay, the system maintains its stability at the cost of the very people it claims to serve.

The young white men who are drawn to these movements are not the masters of their own destiny; they are the shock troops of a system that is using them to maintain its own power. They are told they are fighting for their race, their culture, their way of life, but they are actually fighting for a system that has no interest in them beyond their utility as enforcers. The military history of the white working class is not an accident; it is the design. The white working class has always been the enforcement arm of the financial elite, the bodies sent to secure the resources and suppress the rebellions that threaten the smooth functioning of capital accumulation.

This is the ultimate irony of the contemporary racial narrative. The young whites who are being radicalized into racial identity politics are the descendants of the very people who were used to enforce racial hierarchy in the first place. They are the inheritors of a role that was designed for them, and they are being radicalized into a politics that will keep them in that role, fighting the enemies they are told to fight, defending the interests of a system that has no interest in them. They are all doing the same thing: performing a kind of rebellion or a kind of moral outrage that is actually just another form of conformity to the script that has been provided for them. They are all the shock troops of a civilization that is eating its own children.

<a class="image-link image2 is-viewable-img" target="_blank" A new way to smelt metal. A new way to organize a city. A new way to record debts. A new way to speak to the divine. The discovery is made by a peculiar type of human being—not the most numerous, not the most powerful, not the most socially adept, but the one who can see a pattern where others see only noise. Let us call this type the Inventor.

Thanks for reading! The Inventor sets out to solve a problem, to satisfy a curiosity, to bring something into being that did not exist before. The satisfaction is in the creation itself. Once the thing is made, once the puzzle is solved, the Inventor moves on to the next puzzle. The process is the point. The discovery is the reward.

But the discovery does not remain with the Inventor. It attracts attention. First come the enthusiasts—those who cannot create but who recognize brilliance when they see it, who love the New Thing with a passion that borders on the religious, who will devote their time and energy and meager resources to supporting the Inventor. They build the first organizations. They spread the word. They translate the Inventor’s difficult, esoteric insights into language that others can begin to grasp. They are the bridge between the Inventor and the wider world.

Then come the many. The ordinary mass of humanity, whose inner lives are not driven by the compulsion to create, nor even by the devotion to understand, but by a simpler need: to be entertained, to belong, to feel part of something exciting. They are not stupid. They are not lazy. They are simply constituted differently. Their minds are loops, not processes. A process mind moves from problem to solution to next problem, each completed project a stepping stone to the next. A loop mind requires continuous input to remain stable. It needs to be told what to do, what to feel, what to value. Without external structure, the loop spins and frays. With external structure, the loop can hum along productively for a lifetime. These are the Workers, and they are the vast majority of every human society. They are the soil in which civilization grows.

And where there is soil to be tilled, there will always be those who arrive not to plant but to harvest.

The Third Type

The Parasite—let us call the third type by its true name—is not a Worker and not an Inventor. The Parasite understands something that neither the Inventor nor the Worker fully grasps. The Inventor understands the thing itself—the metal, the number, the law, the god. The Worker understands the feeling of belonging, the comfort of routine, the security of being told what is valuable. The Parasite understands the difference between these two minds, and understands that this difference can be exploited.

The Inventor is generally useless as a manipulator of men. The Inventor is too cold, too abstract, too absorbed in the work to bother with the messy, repetitive labor of managing human emotions. Even if the Inventor possessed the skill, the inclination is lacking. Why spend hours soothing anxieties when there is a problem to solve? Why flatter the mediocre when there is a discovery to be made? The Inventor speaks in equations, in principles, in revelations. The Worker cannot hear this language. The Worker hears only noise, or worse, a threat to the emotional stability that the Worker requires to function.

The Parasite speaks both languages. To the Inventor, the Parasite speaks the language of appreciation, of patronage, of shared vision. “I understand your work. I will protect you from the distractions of the world. I will find you resources. You need only continue creating.” The Inventor, relieved to be relieved of the burden of human management, accepts the bargain. The Parasite now stands between the Inventor and the world.

To the Worker, the Parasite speaks an entirely different language. Not the language of discovery, which the Worker finds alienating and cold. But the language of belonging, of identity, of values. “You are part of something great. You are special because you follow me, because you believe what I tell you to believe, because you wear what I tell you to wear. The Inventor is brilliant, yes, but you and I—we are the ones who truly understand what this means. We are the elite.”

This is the Parasite’s masterstroke. The Worker cannot be elite by the standard of the Inventor. The Worker does not create. The Worker does not discover. The Worker does not advance the frontier of knowledge or art or technique. But the Worker can be made to feel elite if the definition of elite is changed from “one who creates” to “one who belongs.” The Parasite teaches the Worker that the Worker’s values—loyalty, conformity, enthusiasm, the willingness to be led—are what truly matter. The Inventor is merely a tool. The Worker is the heart. And the Parasite, who speaks for the Worker, is the head.

This inversion of values is the foundational act of every parasitic elite that has ever ruled a civilization.

The Economics of Parasitism

The relationship between these three types is not merely psychological. It is structural, and it can be expressed in ratios. For every Inventor, there are perhaps a hundred Workers—sometimes more, sometimes less, but the order of magnitude holds across societies and across centuries. The Inventor is rare. The Worker is common. The Parasite is rarer than the Worker but far more common than the Inventor, and the Parasite understands that a ratio of one hundred to one is not a demographic fact but an economic opportunity.

The Inventor generates what might be called primary value: the discovery, the technique, the insight, the form. This value is genuine but abstract. It does not, by itself, feed anyone or clothe anyone or organize anyone. The Worker generates secondary value: the labor that turns the discovery into a product, the repetition that turns the insight into an institution, the attendance that turns the form into a movement. This value is concrete but dependent. Without the Inventor’s primary value, the Worker has nothing to work on. Without the Worker’s secondary value, the Inventor’s discovery remains a private obsession, a curiosity, a footnote.

The Parasite generates no value at all. This must be stated plainly, because the entire edifice of parasitic ideology is designed to obscure it. The Parasite does not discover. The Parasite does not labor. The Parasite positions.

Positioning is the art of standing between the Inventor and the Worker and extracting a toll from both. From the Inventor, the Parasite extracts credit—the appearance of being associated with genius, the borrowed prestige of the discovery, the right to speak for the New Thing to the outside world. From the Worker, the Parasite extracts loyalty, labor, and eventually money—the admission fees and subscription costs and donations and taxes that the Parasite collects in the name of supporting the New Thing, of which only a fraction ever reaches the Inventor.

The Parasite calls this toll “administration.” It calls it “management.” It calls it “leadership.” It is not any of these things. Administration is the necessary coordination of complex activity. Management is the direction of resources toward shared goals. Leadership is the inspiration of others to achieve what they could not achieve alone. The Parasite performs none of these functions, or performs them only as a pretext for extraction. The Parasite’s actual function is to convert the primary value of the Inventor and the secondary value of the Worker into tertiary value: prestige, power, and wealth for the Parasite.
<div The Worker will eventually notice that the Parasite is taking more than it gives. The Parasite must therefore keep the Worker in a state of perpetual emotional instability—not so unstable that the Worker becomes nonfunctional, but unstable enough that the Worker remains dependent on the Parasite for emotional regulation.

This is the deepest and darkest of the Parasite’s arts. The Worker, as we have said, is a loop mind. The loop requires continuous external input to maintain stability. Left to itself, the loop spins—anxiety, boredom, despair. The Parasite provides the input. Not the input of discovery, which the Worker cannot process, and not the input of genuine community, which would make the Worker independent of the Parasite. But the input of identity, of belonging, of righteous anger and tribal pride and the endless, exhausting performance of status.

The Parasite tells the Worker that the Worker is elite—not because of what the Worker does, but because of what the Worker believes, what the Worker wears, what the Worker hates. The Worker, hungry for meaning, consumes this input. But the input is not nourishing. It is designed to be addictive, not sustaining. The Worker requires more and more input to maintain the same level of emotional stability. The Parasite provides more. The Worker becomes more dependent. The loop tightens.

Eventually, the Worker’s emotional machinery, never designed for self-regulation, begins to break down. The Worker cannot distinguish between genuine threat and manufactured crisis. The Worker cannot distinguish between authentic value and parasitic propaganda. The Worker cannot distinguish between the Inventor, who creates, and the Parasite, who merely positions. The Worker’s inner world becomes a chaos of fear and resentment and desperate, grasping need. The Worker goes insane. Not in the clinical sense—the Worker remains functional enough to labor, to consume, to obey. But in the spiritual sense: the Worker has lost the capacity to see reality as it is, to evaluate claims, to regulate emotion without external input, to exist in the absence of the Parasite’s voice.

The insane Worker is the Parasite’s ideal subject. The insane Worker will believe anything the Parasite says. The insane Worker will attack anyone the Parasite designates as an enemy. The insane Worker will work themselves to exhaustion for rewards that never materialize, will sacrifice their children to causes that were manufactured in the Parasite’s strategic meetings, will die defending a system that has spent their entire lives extracting from them. The insane Worker is not a malfunction of the system. The insane Worker is the system’s intended product.

The Breaking of the Feedback Loop

Every civilization depends on feedback. The Inventor discovers that a certain technique depletes the soil. The Worker, if the Worker can still see clearly, reports that the harvest is diminishing. The system adjusts. A new technique is developed. The soil recovers. The civilization continues.

The Parasite breaks this feedback loop. The Parasite does not want the Worker to report accurately on conditions, because accurate reporting might reveal the Parasite’s extraction. The Parasite wants the Worker to report that everything is wonderful, that the Parasite’s leadership is brilliant, that the diminishing harvests are either not happening or are the fault of enemies. The Worker, driven insane by years of emotional manipulation, complies. The reports become fictions. The fictions become policy. The policy becomes catastrophe.

At the same time, the Parasite drives up production. This is the great paradox of parasitic rule. The Parasite, producing nothing, consuming everything, must constantly increase the rate of extraction to maintain its position. The Inventor is pushed to produce more discoveries, more techniques, more cultural capital. The Worker is pushed to produce more labor, more consumption, more money. The system accelerates. The feedback loops that once kept the system in balance—the natural limits of soil and water and human endurance—are overridden. The Parasite declares that limits are illusions, that growth is eternal, that the New Thing will solve all problems.

It never does. The acceleration continues until the system breaks. The soil is exhausted. The water is poisoned. The Worker is burned out, broken down, insane beyond recovery. The Inventor, long ago pushed aside or reduced to a figurehead, has stopped producing anything of genuine value. The Parasite, facing the collapse of its host, loots whatever remains and flees—to the next civilization, the next subculture, the next New Thing, where the cycle will begin again.
<div Why has it recurred in every civilization we have records of, from the temple-states of the ancient Near East to the commercial republics of the Mediterranean to the industrial democracies of the modern West?

Because human beings are not equally developed. This is the truth that every parasitic ideology is designed to obscure, and it is the truth upon which every realistic account of society must be founded.

The Inventor and the Worker are not merely different in occupation or interest. They are different in the very structure of their minds. The Inventor is process-oriented. The Worker is loop-oriented. The Inventor can self-regulate. The Worker requires external regulation. The Inventor can tolerate ambiguity, uncertainty, and solitude. The Worker requires clarity, certainty, and constant social input. The Inventor moves from project to project, each completed work a foundation for the next. The Worker requires continuous engagement with a single process, a single identity, a single source of meaning.

This asymmetry is not a moral failing. It is not a matter of intelligence or virtue. It is a fact of human biodiversity, as real and as consequential as any fact of biology. A society composed entirely of Inventors would be impossibly chaotic, a cacophony of brilliant projects never brought to completion. A society composed entirely of Workers would be impossibly static, a machinery of perfect repetition that never improves. A functioning civilization requires both types. And because it requires both types, it requires some mechanism for coordinating them.

*The ‘New Thing’ was inspired by this Article which has lived in my head rent free for over a decade.

Thanks for reading!
